SHEREE ROSE POETRY READING : LOVE IS STILL POSSIBLE IN THIS JUNKY WORLD THURSDAY, JUNE 18th 7–9pm “...it’s me. Yes, it’s me, and most of the time I feel as though I came from another solar system...And despite my skinny physique and frail sensitivities, I possess certain powers and abilities beyond those of so-called normal human beings.” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Country Club is proud to host a poetry reading of Bob Flanagan’s unpublished Book of Medicine as well as other works by former lover, mistress, and artist collaborator of 16 years, Sheree Rose on Thursday June 18th from 7-9pm This reading will result in a complete work of Flanagan’s unpublished and published poetry with an introduction by the American novelist, poet, critic and editor Dennis Cooper. During the Los Angeles poetry movement in the 1980’s Dennis Cooper was the director of the poetry workshop called Beyond Baroque Literary in Venice, California. There Bob Flanagan and Sheree Rose connected through their interest and love of poetry.
